hi, I'm avery!

I'm a creative writing graduate from Arts University Bournemouth. Here, you will find all of my favorite musings! 

 

While I have dabbled in a broad scope of writing through my time on my course, I have specialised in writing for children and young adults.  

​

I would love to work on projects on a freelance basis that work with LGBTQ+ folks, children, or something that feels creatively mad. Check out my CV for my experiences, and below for a few writing snippets!

My third year community project aimed at encouraging young people to tell stories using various mediums

not here, not queer; undergrad dissertation

a 5,000 word analysis on several queer picture books alongside the current contexts in the US to conclude if the book bans do more harm than good.

from a younger aged story following a little girl on an over the top detective mission to a little space girl with her head in the stars trying to decide on a job theres a lot going on in my little picture book realm!
