Hi!

my name is Avery Taylor (she / her). I'm a third-year creative writing student at Arts University Bournemouth studying creative writing!

 

While I've dabbled in a broad scope of writing through my time on my course, I have found my happy place in creating stories for children and young adults. I am currently working on a slew of projects, from picture books to more workshops and discussions on the recent US book bans.  

 

I always take the first chance to get outside, whether just a walk to the beach or a bigger excursion like hitting the mountains to go skiing. If it's rainy, as it is most days in the UK, you will instead find me curled up with a piping cup of tea (earl gray is always my go-to), crocheting, or reading. My room is usually covered in Post-it notes and art prints in a clustered mess of chaos, but that's how I like it. These Post-it notes remind me of critical facts or points in my stories or lay out an argument for my dissertation.
